Melwood is a small Prince George's County community about 20 miles southeast of D.C., reached via the Beltway (I-495) to Route 5 south. The area sits on rolling Mid-Atlantic terrain with typical humid summers and mild winters. It's home to a major nonprofit campus that has provided disability services and job training since 1963.
