Medicine Bow, WY

Medicine Bow is a small Wyoming town on Highway 30, sitting between Laramie and Rawlins in high plains ranch country. Most visitors arrive from Laramie (60 miles southeast) or Rawlins (50 miles northwest), with Interstate 80 about 20 miles north providing cross-country access. The town sits at 6,500 feet elevation with the Medicine Bow Mountains as a backdrop. Native Americans named the area for the local trees they used to make hunting bows.
