McVille is a farming town of 365 people in Nelson County, about 90 miles northwest of Grand Forks via Highway 2 west to Lakota, then Highway 15 north. Highway 20 provides east-west access to other county communities. The town sits in the Sheyenne River valley amid rolling wheat and soybean fields. The towering grain elevator operated by the local co-op dominates the skyline and can be seen for miles across the prairie.
