Loris, SC

Loris is a small South Carolina city about 25 miles inland from Myrtle Beach, connected by Highway 9 which runs straight to the coast. Highway 701 provides north-south access through town. The area serves as a rural gateway between the beach resorts and inland farming communities. Loris proudly calls itself the "Bogey Capital of the World" and hosts an annual festival celebrating this legendary Lowcountry creature each October.
