Logansport is a small town of about 1,400 people in northwestern Louisiana's pine country, 45 miles southeast of Shreveport via US Highway 84. The town sits at the intersection of US 84 and Louisiana Highway 5, making it a natural stopping point between Shreveport and communities like Mansfield or Many. Most visitors pass through on US 84, while locals use the same routes for trips to Mansfield (12 miles north) or the Texas border towns. The historic 1902 railroad depot downtown recalls the town's origins as a timber and agricultural shipping point.
