Jeffers Gardens, OR

Jeffers Gardens is a tiny Oregon community of 235 people about 15 miles southeast of Astoria in Clatsop County. Reach it via US Highway 30 from Astoria or Highway 26 from Portland (about two hours). The area features rolling hills with a mild coastal climate and limited services, so stock up in Astoria. The town gets its name from early homesteaders whose dahlia gardens still bloom each fall.
