Ireton is a small farming town in northwest Iowa, 15 miles southeast of Sioux Center via Highway 10. The main route from Sioux City runs 45 miles north on Highway 75, then west on Highway 10 through agricultural country. Most traffic is local, connecting to nearby Orange City and Granville. The town's grain elevator dominates the skyline and serves as a prairie landmark visible for miles.
