Iota, LA

Iota is a small farming town in southwestern Louisiana, home to about 1,500 people surrounded by rice fields and Cajun country. Reach it via I-10 to Exit 80, then Highway 13 north through Crowley to Highway 97. The town hosts one of the area's most authentic rural Mardi Gras parades, featuring masked horseback riders following traditional Cajun customs.
