Indianola, MS

Indianola lies in Mississippi's Delta region along US 82, about 100 miles northwest of Jackson and 130 miles south of Memphis. Most visitors drive in via Interstate 55, then take US 82 west from Grenada or US 49W north from the Jackson area. The city serves as Sunflower County's seat amid endless cotton and soybean fields. Indianola is the birthplace of B.B. King, and his museum downtown features a distinctive guitar-shaped building.
