Hooppole, IL

Hooppole is a tiny farming town in Henry County, about 20 miles northeast of the Quad Cities. Take Route 82 north from I-80, then follow county roads through corn and soybean country. Most visitors arrive via I-80 and Route 6 from the Quad Cities area. The town's quirky name supposedly comes from an old Native American hoop-and-pole game that early settlers played.
