Honor, MI

Honor is a small community in northwest Michigan's Benzie County, sitting along the Platte River about 15 miles from Lake Michigan. Most visitors reach it via US-31 to M-22 through Benzonia, or take M-115 west from US-131. It's a quiet gateway to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, surrounded by forested hills and farmland. The Platte River Hatchery has operated here since 1928, raising salmon and trout for Great Lakes stocking.
