Holbrook sits along Interstate 40 in Arizona's high desert, serving as a natural stop between Flagstaff and Albuquerque. The city connects to Flagstaff via I-40 west, the White Mountains via Highway 77 south, and the Painted Desert via Highway 180 north. Most traffic consists of cross-country travelers and visitors to nearby Petrified Forest National Park.
