Herscher, IL

Herscher is a small farming town in Kankakee County, about an hour south of Chicago via Interstate 57. Take Exit 302 to Route 17 west, or use Route 115 for north-south travel. The village sits in flat prairie country along the Kankakee River valley, surrounded by corn and soybean fields. The towering grain elevator serves as a landmark visible for miles across the farmland.
