Hermiston, OR

Hermiston is a farming town in northeastern Oregon, three hours east of Portland on I-84. The interstate and US 395 make it a natural stopping point between Portland and Boise or when heading to the Tri-Cities area in Washington. The semi-arid climate means clear driving conditions most of the year. The town proudly calls itself Oregon's "Watermelon Capital" and throws a big festival every August to prove it.
