Hart is a small farming town in western Michigan that serves as Oceana County's seat. US-31 runs north-south through town, connecting to Grand Rapids (65 miles) and Muskegon (45 miles), while Route 20 heads west to Lake Michigan beaches and Silver Lake Sand Dunes. The area's economy centers on asparagus, orchards, and Christmas tree farms. Hart hosts the National Asparagus Festival each June with eating contests and parades.
