Hardtner, KS

Hardtner is a small farming town of about 200 people in south-central Kansas, near the Oklahoma border. US Highway 160 runs east-west through town, connecting to Pratt (35 miles northeast) and continuing toward Coldwater. Most visitors arrive via US-281 to Medicine Lodge, then take local roads 15 miles south. The volunteer fire department has operated from the same brick station on Main Street since 1923.
