Glasgow is a tiny river town in west-central Illinois, about 30 miles northwest of Jacksonville via Route 106 from I-72. The community sits along the Illinois River with flat prairie farmland stretching in all directions. Most visitors arrive from Springfield (I-72 west to Route 106) or cross from Missouri. Glasgow operates the historic Golden Eagle Ferry, one of the last seasonal river ferries in Illinois.
