Friendship is a tiny Arkansas community of 168 people located 15 miles southwest of Hot Springs on scenic Highway 7. Visitors typically arrive from Little Rock via Interstate 30 and Highway 7, a 45-mile drive through rolling Ouachita Mountain foothills. The town sits in prime outdoor recreation territory near the Ouachita National Forest. Friendship gets its name from a 19th-century Methodist church that served as the original community gathering place.
