Fraser is a tiny farming town of 148 people in central Iowa's Boone County, about 15 miles northwest of Boone via Highway 17. Most visitors arrive from Des Moines by taking US-30 west to Boone, then heading north. The surrounding area is classic Iowa farmland with corn and soybean fields. Despite its small size, Fraser maintains its status as one of Iowa's smallest incorporated cities.
