Fraser, CO

Fraser is a small mountain town in Colorado's Grand County, sitting at 8,574 feet in a high valley along the Fraser River. Highway 40 connects it to Denver 67 miles southeast through Berthoud Pass, while also linking west to Granby and south to Winter Park Resort. The town serves as a base for visitors to Winter Park and experiences some of America's coldest winter temperatures. Fraser earned the nickname "The Icebox of the Nation" for regularly hitting temperatures below negative 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
