Fellsmere is a small agricultural town in Indian River County, about 15 miles inland from Vero Beach via State Road 512. Take I-95 to Exit 156 and head west for 12 miles to reach this community of 5,000 surrounded by citrus groves and cattle ranches. The town was founded in 1911 as a planned farming community, and the original Fellsmere Farms Company headquarters building still stands on Broadway Street.
