Dyess, AR

Dyess is a tiny Delta town in Mississippi County, Arkansas, about 45 miles from Memphis via US 63. Most visitors pass through on Highway 140 or drive up from Jonesboro. The area is flat cotton country with a humid climate and limited services. This community of under 300 people was founded in 1934 as a New Deal resettlement project for Depression-era farm families.
