Dunnavant, AL

Dunnavant is a small Shelby County community of about 1,000 people located 20 miles southeast of Birmingham. Reach it via I-65 south to Exit 246, then Highway 119 southeast through Montevallo, or take US-280 through Chelsea. Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport is 35 miles away via I-65 and Highway 119. The town maintains its own volunteer fire department in a brick station that doubles as a community gathering spot.
