Double Spring, NV

Double Spring is a tiny Nevada community of 265 people in Douglas County, about 20 miles south of Carson City via US Highway 395. The town sits at 5,000 feet in the Sierra Nevada foothills, where desert meets mountains. Most traffic uses Highway 395 for commutes to Carson City or passes through heading to Eastern Sierra recreation areas. The community gets its name from twin natural springs that provided crucial water for early desert travelers.
