Crystal, ND

Crystal is a tiny farming town of about 100 people in far northeast North Dakota, 15 miles from the Canadian border. Take US Highway 81 north from Grand Forks for a 45-minute drive through the flat Red River Valley. Most visitors are either crossing the border at nearby Pembina or exploring the agricultural heritage of this wheat-growing region. The old grain elevator still operates along the BNSF Railway tracks.
