Crystal City, TX

Crystal City is a small agricultural town in South Texas, about 100 miles southwest of San Antonio via US Highway 83. The main route from San Antonio follows I-35 south to Pearsall, then US 83 southwest through several small towns. Highway 83 runs north-south through town, while State Highway 117 heads east to Carrizo Springs. The town sits in rolling ranch country with hot summers and mild winters. Crystal City proudly displays a Popeye statue in its town square, celebrating its heritage as the self-proclaimed "Spinach Capital of the World."
