Crossett is a small southeastern Arkansas city of about 4,600 people, located 15 miles from the Louisiana border in Ashley County. Highway 82 runs east-west through town, connecting to Monticello (35 miles northwest) and continuing into Louisiana, while Highway 133 heads north to Hamburg. The city grew around Georgia-Pacific's massive paper mill, which has been the area's dominant employer since 1962.
