Cotulla, TX

Cotulla is a small South Texas city along I-35, about 70 miles southwest of San Antonio. It's the county seat of La Salle County and has grown with recent Eagle Ford Shale oil activity. The town sits in classic brush country terrain with mesquite and rolling hills. Cotulla-La Salle County Airport serves the area's energy industry. The city's notable claim is that Lyndon B. Johnson taught at the local school here in the late 1920s, an experience that influenced his later civil rights work as president.
