Copper Canyon is a small North Texas city of 2,500 people located about 30 miles northwest of Dallas in Denton County. Interstate 35W and Highway 114 provide the main access routes, with FM 407 running east-west through the area. The community sits in the rolling Cross Timbers region with hot summers and mild winters. Perot Field/Fort Worth Alliance Airport lies just south of town, primarily serving cargo operations. The city's namesake Copper Canyon Road features a distinctive concrete bridge with decorative railings spanning a small creek.
