Collyer, KS

Collyer is a tiny farming town of 69 people in western Kansas wheat country, reached via Highway 40 from WaKeeney (15 miles east) or Oakley to the west. Most traffic is local agricultural or commuter routes, while long-distance travelers use I-70 twenty miles south. The 1888 post office still serves as an informal community gathering spot.
