Colby sits along Interstate 70 in northwest Kansas, making it a natural pit stop between Denver and Kansas City. The town lies where US Highway 83 crosses I-70, connecting the High Plains farming communities to the north and south. Most visitors arrive on I-70, while locals use the state highways to reach surrounding agricultural areas.
