Cokeville, WY

Cokeville is a small ranching town in southwestern Wyoming's Bear River Valley, sitting at 6,200 feet near the Utah border. Highway 30 runs right through town, connecting east to Kemmerer (45 miles) and west into Utah. Most visitors arrive via Highway 89 from Jackson (90 miles north) or Interstate 84 from the Ogden area. The town is famous for the 1986 elementary school hostage incident where all 154 children and teachers survived against incredible odds.
