Chokio, MN

Chokio is a small farming town in western Minnesota, 25 miles west of Morris on Highway 9. Most visitors arrive from the Twin Cities via I-94 west to Glenwood, then Highway 28 north to Highway 9. The town sits in prime agricultural country near the South Dakota border, with Morris Municipal Airport 25 miles east. Chokio gets its name from the Dakota word for "middle," marking its original spot between two now-drained lakes.
