Campus is a tiny farming community in central Illinois, about 90 miles southwest of Chicago via I-55 and local roads. With just 172 residents, it sits amid the flat prairie landscape of Livingston County, connected by US Route 17 and the rural grid of section roads. The town got its name from a proposed agricultural college that was planned but never built.
