Calypso, NC

Calypso is a small farming town in Duplin County, about an hour from both Raleigh and Wilmington via US Highway 117. The area is known for tobacco and sweet potato farming, with rural roads connecting scattered communities across the coastal plain. The town is named after the Greek sea nymph Calypso, an unusual mythological reference in North Carolina.
