Bridgeton, NC

Bridgeton is a small riverside town in eastern North Carolina with just 427 residents, located five miles from New Bern via Highway 70. The town sits along the Neuse River in Craven County's coastal plain, experiencing mild winters and humid summers typical of the Inner Banks region. US Route 17 provides north-south access, while Highway 70 connects to Kinston and Raleigh westward or the Outer Banks eastward. The town features one of North Carolina's last hand-cranked swing bridges.
