Black River is a small city of 1,650 people in northern New York's Jefferson County, positioned along the Black River near the Adirondacks. Take I-81 north from Syracuse (70 miles) or south from the Canadian border, then connect via Route 3, which runs east-west through town and links to Watertown 10 miles away. Watertown International Airport is 15 miles southeast for air travelers.
