Bingham is a tiny farming town of 63 people in central Illinois, about 70 miles northeast of St. Louis. Reach it via Interstate 70 to Exit 61 at Vandalia, then north on Route 185. The area's claim to fame is its original 1870s grain elevator that still towers over the surrounding cornfields.
