Beale AFB, CA

Beale Air Force Base is located 40 miles north of Sacramento in California's Central Valley. Take Highway 99 north to Highway 20 east from Sacramento, or use Interstate 5 to Highway 20 for long-distance travel. The active military base houses U-2 spy planes and Global Hawks. You can see a restored SR-71 Blackbird at the base museum near the main entrance.
