Batesville, AR

Batesville is a small Arkansas city along the White River, about 90 miles north of Little Rock via Highway 167. The town serves as Independence County's seat and home to Lyon College, founded in 1872. Highway 167 provides the main route south to Little Rock and north toward Missouri, while Highway 69 runs east-west through town. The college's red-brick Victorian buildings create a distinctive skyline on the hill above downtown.
