Barnesville is a tiny rural community in Montgomery County, Maryland, about 35 miles northwest of D.C. Take I-270 north to Exit 16, then Route 109 west for 8 miles to reach this 200-person town nestled in rolling Piedmont hills. From Baltimore, use I-70 west to Route 27 south. The town hosts Maryland's oldest continuous annual festival, Barnesville Day, running since 1924.
