Augusta is a small farming town in west-central Wisconsin, about 20 minutes east of Eau Claire via Highway 27. The town sits along the Eau Claire River in dairy country, with Highway 12 providing the main east-west connection to Black River Falls and the Dells. Most visitors pass through on regional trips between central and western Wisconsin. The annual Driftless Area Art Festival each September transforms the quiet riverside community into a regional arts destination.
