Argo, AL

Argo is a small Alabama city of about 4,500 people located 20 miles northeast of Birmingham in St. Clair County's rolling hills. Take I-59 north from Birmingham for a quick 25-minute drive, or use scenic US Highway 11 for a more leisurely route through the countryside. Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport is 30 miles southwest. The volunteer fire department's red brick station with its working bell tower has been the community's landmark since 1978.
