Altamont, KS

Altamont is a small Kansas town of about 1,000 people located on US Highway 160 in the southeastern part of the state. The town sits at the intersection of US 160 and State Highway 96, making it a convenient stop when traveling east-west across southern Kansas or north-south between Fredonia and Oklahoma. The historic downtown square features a restored 1920s bank building that still has its original vault door.
