Alpha, MI

Alpha is a tiny Iron County town along US-2 in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, about 15 minutes west of Iron Mountain. The area's rolling, forested terrain reflects its logging and mining past. Most visitors arrive via US-2, the main east-west route connecting UP communities, or through Iron Mountain from US-141. The town sits near the historic Menominee River, once a major timber-floating route to Lake Michigan.
