The main access is via Route 16, which connects to Newark (8 miles west) and Granville (6 miles southeast), with Columbus about 30 miles southwest. The village sits in rolling farmland with a typical Midwest climate and houses one of Ohio's oldest continuously operating post offices, established in 1833.
