Upton Towans lies among the sand dunes along Cornwall's north coast, reached via the A30 to Hayle then the B3301 coastal road. The settlement sits within the Towans dune system between Hayle and Godrevy, popular with surfers and archaeologists alike. Bronze Age burial mounds dot the landscape, some over 3,000 years old.
