Upper Stondon is a Bedfordshire village on the A600 between Hitchin and Bedford, perched on the Chiltern Hills with good views across the countryside. Reach it via M1 Junction 12 then A5120 and A600 north from London, or take the A507 through Shillington from Cambridge. Luton Airport lies 15km southeast. The village church boasts a rare medieval octagonal tower.
