Woodborough is a small Wiltshire village on the A345 between Marlborough and Salisbury, set in the Pewsey Vale among chalk downlands. Most visitors arrive via the M4 Junction 14, then the A338 and A345. The village serves local traffic between nearby settlements and provides access to Savernake Forest routes. St. Mary Magdalene church houses a remarkable 13th-century wooden knight effigy, one of England's few surviving medieval wooden sculptures.
