Wold Newton, East Riding of Yorkshire

Wold Newton is a small Yorkshire Wolds village sitting between Driffield and Bridlington on minor roads off the A166. Most visitors arrive via Driffield from the A64 or A166, though coastal routes from Bridlington work well for day trips. The village gained fame when a meteorite crashed here in 1795, becoming one of Britain's first scientifically documented meteorite falls.
